Interest in the R(Reuse battery)-ESS business, which transforms waste batteries into energy storage systems (ESS), is growing.
As the business model for recycling waste batteries is gaining attention due to the recent rise in raw material prices, some companies are emerging that are trying to secure profitability by combining this with demand response (DR) businesses where capacity expansion is difficult.

Jang Kwon-young, CEO of Synergy, has been appointed as this year's Star Technology Ambassador.
Energy specialist Synergy announced on the 9th that its CEO Jang Kwon-young was appointed as a public relations ambassador at the '2022 Star Technician Public Relations Ambassador and Distinguished Reporter Corps Appointment Ceremony' held by the Korea Human Resources Development Institute for Industry at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul on the 8th.
